The King Who Owns Everything

"The earth is the Lord's, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein." —PSALM 24:1 NKJV

The ark is coming home. After years away, it is finally being carried back into Jerusalem — and the streets are packed, the noise almost unbearable, the air thick with incense and anticipation. David is at the front of the procession, and he is not acting kingly. He is dancing. Unguarded, undignified, completely undone by what is moving through the city gates. A voice calls out from the crowd: Who is this King of glory? And David already knows the answer.

Everything, the whole earth and everything in it, every resource, every relationship, every outcome belongs to Him. That's not a diminishment of your life. It's the most liberating thing you could hear when you've been white-knuckling something you were never meant to carry alone.

Ownership comes with the burden of control. When you finally let go of the illusion that it was yours to manage, something frees up. Not only does The King of glory want to visit your life, He wants to walk through the gates of it. Fully, rightly, as the One to whom it already belongs. Let Him in.

What are you holding onto most tightly right now — a relationship, a plan, an outcome? Open your hands today and say: This is Yours. You are the King of this too

Scripture Promise:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." —PROVERBS 3:5-6 NKJV

Prayer:

Father, you are the king of my life and I invite you in to abide always. In Jesus name I pray.

Amen.
