Over the last few months of 2025, I’ve been reading the book of Joshua, letting its stories unfold slowly. I watched Moses pass the baton to Joshua, the people step into the Jordan on dry ground, walls fall at Jericho, lessons learned at Ai, and hearts turn back to God at Shechem. But more than any battle or miracle, one thing kept rising to the surface for me. The faithfulness of God to His promises. When Joshua stood before the people and reminded them of God’s promises, it had been nearly 600 years since God first spoke to Abraham in this same place. And Joshua could say this with confidence: not one promise had failed. That stopped me in my tracks. How many of us can look back over our lives and say the same? From that moment at Shechem to today, nearly 3,400 years have passed and God is still doing exactly what He said He would do. Empires have risen and fallen, generations have come and gone, but God has not changed. He still keeps His word.
So here’s the invitation for us today: go searching. Open your Bible and look for the promises God has spoken over His people and over you. Write them down. Sit with them. Pray them back to Him, not as wishful thinking, but with the confidence that comes from knowing His track record. If God has been faithful for thousands of years, He can be trusted with this moment in your life too. Just as He said, “For I am the Lord, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6). How to Get Prayers Answered
To be perfectly honest, there have been seasons when prayer felt hard. I prayed, I believed, I waited, and still wondered if God was really listening. I knew how to pray, but I didn’t always understand why some prayers seemed unanswered while others unfolded in ways I never expected. So I searched for what surely must be known.
How to Get Prayers Answered was born out of that place. What I learned is what some already knew and shared; and now I am sharing with you. I discovered that prayer is less about getting results and more about growing a relationship with the one who could answer those prayers. Along the way, God began to show me that answered prayer isn’t about saying perfect words or some sort of spiritual performance. It’s about staying close, trusting Him when I can’t see the outcome, aligning my heart with His, and learning to listen as much as I speak.
This 8 part mini series is an invitation to walk that journey with me. Together, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about prayer that moves the heart of God, and how those truths meet us right where we are. My hope is that as we learn, your prayer life won’t just become more effective… it will become more personal, just as mine did.
