Come, Let Us Return
“Come, and let us return to the LORD.” — Hosea 6:1, NKJV
There comes a moment when wandering has gone far enough. You have tried your own way, followed your own wisdom, and discovered that distance from God never gives what it promises.
Hosea’s invitation is simple: return.
Israel had repeatedly turned away from God, but He had not closed the door. Even after their rebellion, there was still a road home. Hosea called them to come back to the One who could heal what their wandering had wounded.
Jesus shows us what that road home looks like. He came to reconcile us to the Father, carrying the very sin that separated us from God. We do not have to repair ourselves before returning. We return because Christ has already made a way.
Sometimes we make returning harder than God does. We think about how long we have been distant, how many times we have failed, or how disappointed God must be. Yet the invitation remains: Come.
Maybe you have not abandoned God, but something between you and Him has changed. Prayer has become hurried. His Word has become occasional. His voice has been competing with everything else demanding your attention.
God is not asking you to explain the entire journey away before taking the first step back. He is simply calling you home.
Identify one area where distance has developed between you and God. Instead of merely regretting it, take one intentional step toward Him today.
Scripture Promise:
“He will heal us...He will bind us up.” — Hosea 6:1, NKJV

Father, draw me back closer to you and let me find solace there. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
