Faithful Without Applause
“You shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse.” — Ezekiel 2:7, NKJV
Imagine receiving an assignment from God and hearing the warning before you even begin: They may not listen.
No promise of applause. No guarantee of visible results. No assurance that people will understand what you are doing.
Just go. Speak. Be faithful. That is Ezekiel’s assignment.
We often attach results to obedience. If the ministry grows, the conversation goes well, the person changes, or someone recognizes what we did, we feel that our effort mattered. When nothing seems to happen, discouragement starts asking whether we heard God correctly.
But God removes that burden from Ezekiel. The response belongs to the people. Faithfulness belongs to Ezekiel.
Jesus knows what it is like to love people who walk away. He taught truth and watched some reject it. He healed, served, and poured Himself out while religious leaders plotted against Him. Even at the cross, He remained obedient to His Father.
Christ’s faithfulness was never measured by applause.
That matters for the quiet assignments God gives us—the prayers nobody hears, the service nobody notices, the integrity that costs us, the person we keep loving even when nothing appears to change.
Perhaps heaven measures success differently than we do.
Would you still obey Jesus if He were the only One who ever knew what your obedience cost?
Release the outcome of one assignment you have been measuring by results. Ask Christ to help you focus on faithfulness and leave the response with Him.

Father, thank you for allowing me to server, even if no one recognizes my effort. Let my service be unto you alone oh God and my you always get the glory and the praise. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
