He Kept the Best Wine for When They Ran Out.
God's abundance shows up where your supply ends
"Jesus said to them, 'Fill the waterpots with water.' And they filled them up to the brim."

Maybe you know what it feels like to run out.
I don't mean run low. And I don't mean managing carefully and watching the levels. I'm talking about actually running out. Reaching for what used to be there and find nothing. To smile through a situation while quietly panicking because the supply is gone and the people around you don't know it yet.
That was the moment at this wedding in Cana.
The wine was gone. In first-century Jewish culture, running out of wine at a wedding was not only inconvenient, it was a social failure the family would carry for years. And into that specific, private panic came Mary, who did the most faithful thing she knew how to do. She found Jesus and told Him the truth in three words: they have no wine. No begging. No strategy. She brought an honest need to the right Person.
Jesus asked the servants to fill six large stone water pots with water. All were to be filled to the brim. Then the command was given to draw some out and take it to the master of the feast. The servants obeyed before they understood why. The water had become wine so good that the master pulled the bridegroom aside and said you have saved the best for now.
Only the servants who had filled the pots knew what had happened. The ones who did the simple, obedient thing before they understood it.
That is still how He works. God doesn't show up to get you barely through. He shows up to fill you to the brim. What He pours into the empty places is always better than what you had before the supply ran out.
Where have you actually run out? Is it your faith that has somehow grown thin? Has your joy been managed down to almost nothing? Perhaps it's the hope you've stopped mentioning because it hasn't come yet. Bring those empty places to Jesus today. Don't be afraid to say: 'I have nothing left here.' Then do whatever He says, even before you understand why. He fills to the brim. And what He pours is always worth the wait.

Father, when I am empty, thank you for filling me up. Help me to be obedient to your command. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
