She Said Yes
Willing obedience begins where understanding ends.
"Then Mary said, 'Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.'" — Luke 1:38
The room had grown quiet.
Mary had just heard the unimaginable. She would give birth to the promised Messiah. The promise was beautiful, but the path would not be easy. Questions lingered. How would Joseph respond? What would her family think? What would people say?
She didn't have every answer. She only had God's word. Then came the moment that changed everything.
"Let it be to me according to your word."
Mary's faith wasn't built on knowing how everything would unfold. It was built on trusting the One who was unfolding it. Her surrender didn't remove the uncertainty—it revealed her confidence in God's faithfulness.
The same invitation comes to us. There are moments when God asks us to take a step before we can see the whole path. Our minds search for certainty, but God often calls us to trust before He explains.
Every act of obedience begins with a simple yes.
Like Mary, we may not understand everything God is doing. But when we surrender our plans to His purpose, we discover that His will is always leading us somewhere better than our fears could imagine.
Is God asking you to trust Him in an area where you cannot yet see the outcome? Today, answer Him with Mary's words: "Let it be to me according to Your word." Then take the next step He has placed before you.
Scripture Promise (NKJV)
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." — Proverbs 3:5–6
Prayer:
Father, thank you so much for the paths that you lead us to and through. Like Mary, let us be willing to ever trust you even when we don't know every step. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
