A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” — Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)

I’ve made plans that I was sure would work out a certain way. I could see it clearly—how it would unfold, how it would feel, how everything would fall into place. And when it didn’t, I remember feeling disappointed and a little thrown off.

It took time for me to realize that God wasn’t ignoring my plans, He was guiding my steps. There were moments when what I wanted and what He was doing didn’t match, and that tension wasn’t easy. Still, looking back, I can see how His direction led me to places I wouldn’t have chosen on my own, but needed.

Surrendering my plans has been a process. I still dream, I still plan, but I’ve learned to hold those plans a little more loosely. I’m learning to trust that God sees what I don’t and that His way carries a purpose I may not understand right away.

If you’re in a place where things aren’t going as planned, you’re not alone. God is still directing your steps, even here.

Let's hold our plans a little more loosely today and invite God to guide our steps, trusting where He leads.

Scripture Promise:
“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV)

Prayer:
Father, I surrender my plans to You. Lead me in the way You want me to go. Align my desires with Your will.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
