“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
There's a name you've been called — maybe by someone who hurt you, maybe by your own regret — and somewhere along the way, you started answering to it.
We all do this. We carry the weight of old labels: the mistake we can't shake, the version of ourselves we thought we'd grown out of, the story someone else wrote for us. And slowly, without even noticing, those stories start to feel like identity.
But here's what surrender looks like today: it's not just releasing control — it's releasing the false self. It's saying, "That's not who I am anymore." You don't have to carry a name that was never meant for you. In Christ, you've been given a new one.
Speak one truth about who you are in Christ out loud today — not as something you're trying to believe, but as something that is already true about you. Let it land.
Scripture Promise:
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
Prayer:
Father, I know that I am who you say I am. I will rest in that assurance and trust that you have the power to shape my life to your will.
Amen.
