"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it." — Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
I have a complicated relationship with waiting. I can trust God with the destination — it's the in-between that gets me. The season that feels stuck. The growth that's happening too slowly to see. The version of myself I thought I'd be by now.
We live in a world that rewards speed. Fast results, fast answers, fast transformation. So when the process feels slow, it's easy to assume something is wrong — with us, with our faith, with the timing. We start trying to force what we can't manufacture.
But this verse quietly reframes everything. He who began — past tense, already done — will complete it. The work is already in motion. God didn't start something in you to abandon it halfway. He is building something that takes time because it's meant to last.
You don't have to be further along than you are. Where you are right now is part of it.
Wherever you are in the process today — trust it. Tell God you're choosing to believe He is still at work, even in what you can't yet see.
Scripture promise:
"The path of the just is like the shining sun." — Proverbs 4:18
Prayer:
Father, remind me to trust the process especially when I don't see what I want to see. Help me to rest assured that in due season, your work will be revealed.
Amen.
