“Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” — James 1:22 (NKJV)

Growing up, there was a game the kids would play called Simon Says
where participants must follow commands only when preceded by the phrase "Simon says" At times Simon would give a command without saying Simon says and if you followed that command, you were out of the game. The goal was to be the the last one standing because you only obeyed the correct command. Well that's what grace does. It allows us to hear God's instructions and by extension, obey through the power of His Holy Spirit. Unlike Simon, God will not try to trick you. In the game we obey Simon to avoid losing, but with God, we obey because we love and trust Him. When we obey God in small, consistent ways, our lives will reflects His rhythm.

Today, let's do three things that God said because we love him.

Scripture Promise:

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” — Isaiah 1:19 (NKJV)

Prayer:
Father, help me obey You faithfully in the ordinary moments.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
