MADE IN HIS IMAGE
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." — Genesis 1:26–27
Out of everything God made — galaxies, oceans, mountains, creatures of every kind — only one thing was made in His image. Only one. You. When God wanted to leave His fingerprint on the earth in the most personal, intimate way possible, He made a human being. Not a monument. Not a statue. A living, breathing, thinking, feeling person.
The image of God is not about what you look like on the outside. It is about the capacity you carry on the inside, the capacity to create, to love, to reason, to choose, to worship, to connect. Every time you create something beautiful, you are reflecting your Maker. Every time you show compassion, you are mirroring the heart of God. Every time you pursue justice, you are imaging the One who is just.
My friend, you were not made to be average. You were made to carry the image of the living God into every room you walk into. Don't you dare shrink that down.
Today, identify one way you are uniquely designed to reflect God's image in the world — through creativity, compassion, leadership, or something else. Commit to living that quality out intentionally this week.
Scripture Promise:
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." — Jeremiah 1:5
Prayer:
Father, I am so grateful that You made me in Your image and that You have given me the capacity to love and to show that love to others who may not be able to recognize Your love in any other way. Let me by Your grace continue to be the hands and feet You use to show Your love abroad and at home. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
