HE CALLED IT GOOD

"God saw that it was good." — Genesis 1:10, 12, 18, 21, 25

Six times in the first chapter of Genesis, God pauses, looks at what He has made, and calls it good. Not sufficient. Not adequate. Good. There is delight in that word. There is satisfaction. There is a Creator who is not rushing through the work but taking time to appreciate it.

And then He made you — and the word did a shift. He looked at you and called it very good.

My friend, do you know what God thinks of you? Not what the critics said. Not what the failure last year suggested. Not what the voice in your own head whispers when you're tired. God looked at you — completely, fully, without missing a thing and He called it good. He saw your fears and called you good. He saw your limitations and called you good. He saw every version of you that would ever exist, and He was satisfied.

You are not a disappointment to God. You are His good work. Walk like it today.

Stand in front of a mirror today and say out loud: "I am God's good work." Say it until you mean it. Then write down three things about yourself that reflect the goodness God placed in you.

Scripture Promise:

"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." — Genesis 1:31

Prayer:

Father, who are we that you took time to fashion us with your own hands, careful to make us in your image. I pray that your goodness, and your kindness, your patience and your love will be seen in us. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
