WHAT THEY MEANT FOR EVIL, GOD MEANT FOR GOOD

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." — Genesis 50:20

When Joseph finally stood before his brothers — now powerful, now prime minister of Egypt, now holding their very lives in his hands — he could have destroyed them. He had every human reason to. The years in the pit. The years in prison. The years of separation from his father. The tears he must have cried in the dark with no one to hear them.

But Joseph had seen something in his suffering that changed how he held it: a God who was weaving. Not causing the evil, but working through it. Not sending the betrayal, but using it. Joseph looked at twenty-two years of pain and said: God had a plan inside all of it.

My friend, I don't know what someone did to you. I don't know how long you've been carrying the weight of what felt like deliberate harm. But I know the God who took the worst act in human history — the murder of His own Son — and turned it into salvation for the entire world. Nothing is wasted in His hands. The wound becomes a witness. The betrayal becomes a bridge. What they meant for evil, God is turning for good.

Think of the hardest thing you've been through — the thing that felt most like pure harm. Write down one way you can see, or one way you believe, that God has been working even there. If you can't see it yet, write: "I trust that He is still working."
