HE BELIEVED, AND IT WAS ENOUGH

"Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness." — Genesis 15:6

One of the most powerful sentences in the entire Bible is just a few words long. Abram believed — and God counted it. That's it. No sacrifice yet. No law yet. No temple, no priest, no performance. Just belief. Just a man in the dark with stars overhead, deciding that the God speaking to him was telling the truth.

Paul would later return to this verse and build an entire theology around it. This is the foundation of grace: that God accepts faith as the currency of relationship. Not perfect behavior. Not flawless obedience. Belief. Trust. The willingness to say, "I can't see it yet, but I believe You."

My friend, do you understand what this means for you? You don't have to earn your place with God. You can't. The bar is too high and you've already missed it — we all have. But belief? Belief is available to everyone. Right now, in whatever state you are in, whatever you've done or haven't done — if you will simply believe that God is who He says He is and will do what He says He'll do, He will credit it to you. That is not religion. That is grace.

Write a simple declaration of faith today — not a list of your accomplishments, but a statement of what you believe about God. Read it aloud every morning this week.

Scripture Promise:

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." — Ephesians 2:8

Prayer:

Father, I believe you are who you say you are and that you are more than able to deliver me. Help my unbelief. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
