THE RAINBOW IS A PROMISE

"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." — Genesis 9:13

The flood was over. The waters had receded. Noah stepped off the ark onto ground that was still wet with the evidence of judgment. And in that tender, fragile moment — when the earth was still catching its breath — God painted the sky.

He could have simply made a verbal promise. He could have written it in stone. But God put His covenant in color, arched across the sky where everyone could see it, every time the clouds rolled in and the rain fell. Every rainbow, from that day forward, was not just atmospheric beauty. It was God saying: I remember. I will keep My word. You are not forgotten.

My friend, what has your flood season looked like? What has been washed away, and what are you standing in the aftermath of right now? Look up. God is still painting promises in the places that just had storms. He has not forgotten you. He has not abandoned you. And the covenant He made to you through Jesus Christ is even more enduring than that rainbow — sealed not in color, but in blood.

The next time it rains, look for the rainbow. But even before it comes, write down one promise from God's Word that is holding you in this season. Post it somewhere you'll see it every day.

Scripture Promise:

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer:

Father, thank you for the beautiful plans you have for me. Teach me to seek your guidance in all that I do and plan for first. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
