GRACE FOUND NOAH
"But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord." — Genesis 6:8
The world around Noah had completely unraveled with violence and corruption. Every inclination of every heart was evil, all the time. God looked at what had become of His creation and grieved. The word the Scripture uses is that it broke His heart. And He decided to start again.
But in the middle of that devastating portrait, there is one sentence that changes everything: But Noah found favor.
Not because Noah was perfect. Not because he had never made a mistake. It was because in a generation that had completely forgotten God, Noah still remembered. He still believed. He still walked uprightly. And God saw him.
You may be living in the middle of your own chaotic generation — a culture that has turned its back on God, pressures pushing you in every direction, noise drowning out the still small voice. But God is still scanning the earth, looking for hearts that are turned toward Him. You don't have to be the most impressive person in the room. You just have to be the one still walking with Him. Grace found Noah in the middle of a mess. It will find you too.
Take inventory today: In what ways has your environment been pulling you away from God? Name one thing you will set aside this week to protect your walk with Him.
Scripture Promise:
"The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him." — 2 Chronicles 16:9
Prayer:
Father, closer than Noah walked, lord let me walk with thee. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
