HE WALKED WITH GOD

"Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." — Genesis 5:24

The fifth chapter of Genesis is a long list of names and numbers — a genealogy that reads like a drum: born, lived, died, born, lived, died. Over and over, the pattern is the same. But then you get to Enoch, and something breaks the rhythm. Born. Walked with God. Taken.

No death record. No gravestone. Just walked with God, and then he wasn't here anymore. Enoch had such a close, consistent, faithful walk with God that the transition from this life to the next was simply a continuation of a conversation already in progress.

My friend, that is the kind of life available to us. Not a life free of pain or difficulty, but a life so connected to God that even death cannot interrupt the fellowship. The walk with God is not reserved for monks or ministers. It is for anyone who is willing to put one foot in front of the other in the direction of His presence — day after day, year after year, until you wake up one day and realize you've been walking with Him all along.

What does walking with God look like practically for your season? Identify one daily habit — morning prayer, Scripture reading, an evening of stillness — and commit to it for the next thirty days.

Scripture Promise:

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." — Micah 6:8

Prayer:

Father, teach me to walk with you each day and cause others to glorify you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
