The Rhythm of Finishing Well

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7 (NKJV)

For an Olympic gold medalist, that ultimate victory is achieved through endurance, intense discipline and unwavering focus. For the Christian, although Salvation is a gift, Paul reminds every believer that we must choose daily (the fight) to be like Jesus. We must do whatever God says and go wherever He sends us (finishing the race). And, we must believe and hold on to truth (keep the faith). These we can only do by the grace of God. The ultimate prize for an Olympian is the coveted gold medal, but for every true follower of Christ, the ultimate prize and goal is a "crown of righteousness", and that my friend is the best finish of all. Stay anchored in Christ.

Today, get in the race and set your course for a crown that lasts forever.

Scripture Promise:
“He who began a good work in you will complete it.” — Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)

Prayer:
Lord, help me finish this season, and every season strong, faithful, and rooted in You.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
