"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?" — Numbers 23:19 (NKJV)
Promises can feel uncertain when they’ve been broken before. It’s easy to carry that hesitation into our relationship with God.
But this verse reminds us that God is not like us. He does not lie, change His mind, or fail to follow through. When He speaks, it is truth. When He promises, it is certain. His Word can be trusted completely because His nature is unchanging.
Faith grows when we anchor ourselves in this truth. No matter what we’ve experienced, God’s promises remain steady, reliable, and sure.
Think of a promise from God’s Word that you may be struggling to believe. Today, choose to trust it fully. Hold onto His Word and let it strengthen your faith, knowing that God always does what He says.
Scripture Promise:
There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. — 1 Kings 8:56 (NKJV)
Prayer:
Father, teach me to rely on your word and not on my own devices. Show me the wisdom in your way, to stand fast in it.
Amen.
Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
