The Rhythm of Daily Dependence

DAILY DEVOTIONAL

“Give us this day our daily bread.” — Matthew 6:11 (NKJV)

On any given day, the world is caught up in worries about tomorrow. But there are two things I've learned in life to never worry about yesterday and tomorrow. I've seen how God's grace is sufficient to sustain me one day at a time. He doesn’t ask us to figure out tomorrow before we've lived today. Jesus said "
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." — Matthew 6:34 (NKJV)

Today, let your thoughts be in the present and give God all of your yesterday's and tomorrow's.

Scripture Promise:
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6: 31-33 (NKJV)

Prayer:
Lord, help me depend on You for today and trust You with tomorrow. Help me to let yesterday remain in the past.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
