"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." — Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV)
Trust doesn’t always come easily, especially when your heart has been hurt before. Past experiences can make it difficult to fully lean in again.
Yet this verse calls us to trust God with all our heart, not just the parts that feel safe. God understands our history, our wounds, and the reasons we hesitate. Still, He gently invites us to place our confidence in Him rather than in what we can figure out on our own.
Past hurt may shape how we feel, but it does not have to define how we believe. Faith chooses to trust God’s character, even when our experiences try to tell a different story.
Bring your trust and your past hurt to God today. Take one step of faith by choosing to rely on Him, even if it feels uncomfortable. Trust that He is faithful to guide and restore your heart.
Scripture Promise:
"He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3 (NKJV)
Prayer:
Father, heal my wounded heart and allow me to trust again knowing that you will never waste a hurt.
Amen.
