"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong." — 1 Corinthians 16:13 (NKJV)
Have you ever noticed that the moment you decide to follow what God has spoken, opposition seems to show up? Doubts, distractions, and pressure can all try to shake your confidence.
Paul’s words remind believers to stay alert and stand firm in the faith. I've learned that standing firm means holding on to what God has already spoken, even when circumstances or opposition try to convince you otherwise. Faith is not only believing when things are easy, it’s remaining steady when challenges rise.
When we stand firm, we’re not relying on our own strength. We’re trusting the truth of God’s Word. Courage grows when we choose to stay anchored in what we know God has said.
Think about a promise or direction God has placed on your heart. Today, choose to stand firm in it. When opposition comes, remind yourself of God’s Word and remain faithful to what He has spoken.
Scripture Promise:
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you." – James 4:7 (NKJV)
Prayer:
Father, help me to stand firm and grounded in your word, even when others are against me. In you I find my strength.
Amen.
