but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ — Ephesians 4:15 (NKJV)

Have you ever noticed how truth can sometimes feel harsh, while love without truth can feel hollow? We often struggle to balance the two. Some people speak truth but forget kindness. Others show kindness but avoid honesty. Yet God calls us to something better.

Ephesians 4:15 reminds us that spiritual growth happens when we learn to “speak the truth in love.” Truth without love can wound and discourage. Love without truth can leave people confused or misled. But when truth is wrapped in love, it has the power to build, restore, and guide.

Jesus modeled this perfectly. He spoke truth clearly, yet His words carried compassion and purpose. His goal was never to win an argument but to win hearts. When we follow His example, our words begin to reflect His character of honesty, grace, and love.

Today, pause before you speak and ask yourself: Are my words both true and loving? Look for one opportunity to encourage someone with honest, grace-filled words that build them up and point them closer to Christ.

Scripture Promise:
"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" John 8:32 (NKJV)

Prayer:
Father, teach me how to speak truth in love whenever there is a need for it. Let my words be a true reflection to others of who You are.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
