The Rhythm of Courage to Forgive

"Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do." — Colossians 3:13 (NKJV)

Have you ever noticed how difficult forgiveness can be? When someone hurts us, our natural instinct is often to hold onto the offense rather than release it.

Paul reminds us that forgiveness is part of the life we are called to live in Christ. Just as Christ has forgiven us, we are asked to extend that same grace to others. Forgiveness does not mean the hurt was small or unimportant—it means we choose not to let it control our hearts.

Forgiveness takes courage. It requires us to release bitterness and trust God with the outcome. When we forgive, we reflect the very grace that Christ has shown us.

Think of someone you may still be holding an offense against. Ask God to give you the courage to forgive, and take the first step today toward releasing that burden and choosing grace.

Scripture Promise:
Luke 6:37 – "forgive and you will be forgiven."

Prayer:
Father, give me the courage to let go of past offenses, to forgive others just as you have in love forgiven me.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
