The Rhythm of Committing It to God

"Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass."

I’ve had moments where my mind wouldn’t slow down because I was trying to figure everything out. Running through plans, replaying conversations, thinking if I just held onto it a little tighter, I could make it all come together. But I’ve learned there’s a difference between carrying something and committing it. Carrying it left me tense and restless. Committing it brought a kind of peace I couldn’t create on my own.

Surrender didn’t happen all at once for me. It looked like letting go, then catching myself picking it back up again, and choosing to release it… again. Placing it in God’s hands and trusting Him to handle what I couldn’t see or control.

You may be holding something right now that feels too important to release. I understand that feeling. Still, there’s a quiet freedom that comes when you loosen your grip and trust that God is already at work.

Let’s take one thing we’ve been carrying and place it in God’s hands today. When the urge comes to pick it back up, pause and choose to trust Him again.

Scripture Promise:

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you..” — James 4:7 (NKJV)

Prayer:

Father, I commit my way to You. Help me to release what I’ve been holding and trust You fully with it. Teach me to surrender daily and walk in peace, knowing You are working on my behalf.

Amen.

Stay in Rhythm. Stay in Grace.
