The Road You Didn't Plan
"So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians... had come to Jerusalem to worship."

The road doesn't make sense.
Samaria is alive with people responding to the gospel, yet God asks Philip to leave the crowds behind and travel to a quiet stretch of desert. There are no cheering crowds waiting for him there. No revival meetings. No explanation.
Just a road. Philip could have questioned God's direction. Surely his time would be better spent where the greatest number of people could hear the message. Instead, he obeys without hesitation.
When he arrives, he finds one man reading the Scriptures with a heart longing for understanding. That single conversation changes a life and carries the gospel to a nation far beyond Philip's sight.
God's greatest assignments are not always found in the places we expect. Sometimes He calls us away from what appears successful so we can accomplish something eternally significant. We rarely see the full impact of simple obedience, but God does. Every step taken at His direction becomes part of a story much bigger than our own.
Pay attention to the interruptions in your day. Ask God if one of them might actually be His invitation to encourage, serve, or speak hope into someone else's life.

Father, help me to be willing to go where you send me. Even when I don't understand why. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
